Paint Protective Film (PPF)

Paint protection film (PPF) is a durable thermoplastic urethane layer that is meticulously applied onto the painted surfaces of vehicles. Its primary function is to shield the paintwork from potential damage caused by stone chips, insect residue, superficial scratches and UV rays that cause paint to fade.

  • Safeguard Your Vehicle’s Surface from Everyday Wear and Tear –

Everyday use inevitably leads to defects, scratches, and abrasions on your car’s surface. Factors like UV sunlight, dirt, accidental scratches, swirl marks from cleaning, airborne contaminants, and residue from bugs and bird droppings all contribute to the deterioration of your car’s paintwork.

Paint Protection Film provides an added layer of defence against these unavoidable elements, helping to mitigate the effects of wear and tear on your vehicle.

  • Enhance Your Vehicle’s Appearance and Simplify Maintenance –

With Paint Protection Film applied, your vehicle boasts a sleek and polished appearance, accentuated by a flawless, high-gloss finish and a hydrophobic surface that repels dirt and water.

This not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of your car but also simplifies maintenance, as dirt particles are less likely to adhere to the surface of the original paintwork, making it easier to keep your vehicle looking pristine over time.

  • Preserve the Immaculate Condition of Your Car’s Original Paintwork –

The original paintwork of your car holds significant value, both aesthetically and in the market.

Leading brands of Paint Protection Film (PPF) offer sophisticated software that generates precise templates for each panel requiring coverage. These templates are then fed into a plotter, which precisely cuts the PPF material into panels ready for application onto the vehicle.

The advantage of using pre-cut templates is the elimination of blades or knives near the car, minimizing the risk of accidental cuts to the original paintwork during the installation process.

The complete Paint Protection Film (PPF) process typically spans 5 to 6 working days. This comprehensive timeline encompasses several crucial steps, including car preparation, paint correction (if needed), PPF application, curing of the film, and a final inspection to ensure quality and satisfaction.

While any standard car wash soap is suitable for cleaning your vehicle, we strongly advise opting for PH neutral shampoos only. We also highly recommend hand washing only as automatic car washes or ‘waterless’ washing methods may inadvertently utilize dirty cloths, potentially causing damage to the Paint Protection Film (PPF) and its self-healing properties.

We request our clients to return for a check-up approximately one month after the application of the Paint Protection Film (PPF) to ensure proper curing has occurred. Following this initial check-up, there is typically no requirement for yearly maintenance or check-ups. However, if you have any concerns regarding the condition of your PPF at any time, we are always available to address and inspect any issues. Your satisfaction and the longevity of your PPF is our priority.

Absolutely! Many of our clients choose to enhance their vehicle’s protection and maintenance with ceramic coating. This application not only provides a hydrophobic effect, making cleaning easier, but also offers additional protection for the interior, glass, and rims of your vehicle. Our comprehensive ceramic coating services ensure that every aspect of your car receives the utmost care and durability.

Even if your car is fresh from the dealership, it is common to find minor scratches or swirl marks on the paint surface. Our Paint Protection Film (PPF) application process not only addresses these imperfections but also adds an additional layer of protection with its self-healing film properties. By safeguarding your new car with PPF, you can prolong its pristine appearance, thereby maintaining its high value and ensuring a strong resale price in the future.

Our approach to Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation prioritizes minimal disruption to your vehicle. Therefore, we refrain from removing body panels, including components like bumpers, door mirrors, door handles, and headlights.

Instead, our templates are meticulously customized internally to extend as close to the edges of the panels as possible. This ensures comprehensive panel coverage and protection while avoiding visible PPF seam lines.

While removing panels for PPF installation offers advantages such as greater coverage and fewer visible seam lines, it also poses certain disadvantages:

  • Risk of PPF not adhering properly to the wrapped edges, leading to potential “lifting.”
  • Concerns from owners about disassembling their new vehicle.
  • Potential risks associated with dismantling and reassembling the car, including broken clips and alignment issues.
  • The necessity for a stronger bonding agent for PPF around the edges of body panels, making film removal more difficult.

By adhering to our non-intrusive installation approach, we aim to provide effective protection for your vehicle while minimizing potential risks and inconveniences associated with panel removal.

Nearly all Paint Protection Film (PPF) manufacturers offer guarantees against “yellowing.” While occurrences of discoloration are rare, we have observed some instances, particularly noticeable on white paint, primarily in regions like India. This could be attributed to the diverse weather conditions and the storing/washing conditions the car is exposed to.

In every case, the manufacturer has honoured their warranty, and we have replaced the affected areas as part of our commitment to client satisfaction. Rest assured, we stand behind the quality of our products and services, ensuring that your vehicle receives the protection it deserves.

Ceramic Coating

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied to the exterior of a vehicle or other surfaces. It chemically bonds with the surface, creating a protective layer that is resistant to UV rays, chemicals, and environmental contaminants.

The durability of a ceramic coating varies depending on the quality of the product and how well it is maintained. Generally, a high-quality ceramic coating can last anywhere from four to nine years, with proper care.

Ceramic coatings offer several benefits, including enhanced gloss and shine, protection against scratches and swirl marks, resistance to UV damage and oxidation, easier cleaning due to hydrophobic properties, and long-lasting durability

While it is possible for DIY enthusiasts to apply ceramic coatings themselves, it is often recommended to have it done by professionals. Professional application ensures proper surface preparation, even coating application, and better longevity of the coating.

To maintain a ceramic coating, it is essential to regularly wash the vehicle using a pH-neutral car shampoo and gentle washing techniques. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners that can degrade the coating. Periodically, you may also need to top up the coating with a spray sealant or ceramic booster to maintain its hydrophobic properties.

Ceramic coatings are primarily designed for automotive surfaces such as paint, glass, and wheels. However, they can also be applied to various other surfaces such as marine vehicles, motorcycles, and even household items like countertops and ceramic tiles, providing similar benefits of protection and ease of maintenance. Always ensure compatibility and suitability before applying to non-automotive surfaces.

While ceramic coatings offer some level of scratch resistance, they are not a substitute for paint protection films or clear bras specifically designed for preventing scratches and rock chips. However, they can help minimize the appearance of minor scratches and provide an extra layer of protection against light abrasions.

It is generally not recommended to wax or polish your car after applying a ceramic coating, as these products can interfere with the bonding and effectiveness of the coating. However, some ceramic coating manufacturers offer compatible maintenance products, such as spray sealants or ceramic boosters, which can be used to enhance gloss and prolong the coating’s lifespan.

Ceramic coatings offer superior durability and longevity compared to traditional wax or sealants. While wax provides a sacrificial layer of protection that wears off over time, ceramic coatings chemically bond with the surface, creating a permanent or semi-permanent barrier that can last for years. Additionally, ceramic coatings offer better resistance to environmental contaminants and UV damage.

Yes, it is possible, and in some cases necessary i.e., when applying a PPF to a ceramic coated car, to remove a ceramic coating using abrasive methods such as machine polishing or using specific chemical removers designed for this purpose. However, the process can be labour-intensive and may require professional assistance to ensure thorough removal without damaging the underlying surface.

While ceramic coatings offer numerous benefits, there are some potential drawbacks to consider. These may include the initial cost of application, the time taken for a coating application and the fact that ceramic coatings may not provide complete protection against all types of damage, such as deep scratches or stone chips.

The complete ceramic coating process typically spans 3 to 5 working days. This comprehensive timeline encompasses several crucial steps, including car preparation, foam wash, surface decontamination, paint correction, ceramic coating application, curing of the coating, and a final inspection to ensure quality and satisfaction.
